Helping people connect and grow closer with God and one another.

The author of life (God) calls us to work to love and build one-another up.  Joining and being part of a small group is a God designed way this can happen.  For each person, whatever age or situation, we aim to help them connect and grow to be more like Jesus.  We know everyone has various challenges in life.  That is why we seek to provide various ways to connect and to have different kinds of groups where spiritual growth can occur.   We know this works as people say how good it is to be loved, cared for and encouraged in a faith that pleases God. For those who are wanting to investigate Christianity we also provide a short course that proceeds slowly, assuming people have no knowledge and in a loving environment with no pressure to act.

Who?

Exchange has a range of groups.  There are groups with mixed genders and groups of just one gender.  Eg Ladies, young women or young men. Some groups are formed for a limited time just to investigate Christianity and investigate what it means to follow Jesus. These are run regularly. Some people can form a small group of two or three people to study and learn from each other and to draw more deeply from God’s Word.

When?

Each group works out the best time. Groups meet at different times and different days of the week. 

Where?

Our groups are not just meeting in homes in Shepparton. We have meetings in Numurkah district, Tatura, Mooroopna and Kialla.


Core Values In Our Groups

What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception if there is clearly a need to protect others from harm.

We respect views and encourage discussion without judging each other.

We encourage attending all scheduled meetings so not miss out. Some groups run to the school calendar with breaks for the school holidays.

Our normal practice is to have a meal and prayer meeting every month.

We encourage sharing the tasks with humility and love. 

We encourage every person to commit and draw close to God by learning from His word and seeking to grow spiritually mature.

Connect and Grow Groups have a role in equipping God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. John 8:31
